Puka sinkers are heavy, streamlined sinkers designed for deep-water bottom fishing. They are typically long and cylindrical (sometimes slightly tapered), which helps them sink quickly and hold bottom in strong current.

Their shape reduces water resistance on the drop and helps minimise tangles when retrieving from depth, making them ideal for offshore bottom fishing over reefs, pins, and drop-offs.
