8 Plait Rope / Multiplait

Multiplait is made from nylon 6 and is ideal for use as an anchor winch as the pitch is suited to fit numerous winches. 

What is Nylon?

Nylon has up to 8gms/denier tenacity with a specific gravity of 1.14 (which means it sinks) in fresh and salt water. Good UV resistance. Does not absorb water. Melts at 260°C. Has up to 40% stretch at break.

Breaking Loads (indicative)

8mm: 1800kg

10mm: 2600kg

12mm: 3200kg

14mm: 4200kg

16mm: 5000kg

18mm: 6000kg

20mm: 7000kg

Breaking loads are maximum, safe working loads are below this.
